Case Study Burjeel Warehouse Automation Using AMR and ASRS

Project Gist

We created an executive-level visualization of TechCura. This is Burjeel Holdings’ new 5,500 square meter Central Distribution Fulfilment Centre in Abu Dhabi. The project was not a standard marketing video. It was designed specifically for presentation to the Executive Board and C-suite leaders.

Consequently, the video highlights the facility’s massive scale and operational efficiency. It demonstrates its critical role as a centralized backbone for rapid healthcare supply across the UAE. The visuals had to be pristine to match the high standards of the healthcare industry. To see how we handle these complex workflows, see our services for Warehouse automation 3D animation.

TechCura: The Future of Healthcare Supply Chain at Burjeel Holdings

TechCura is set to launch in 2026, and it is designed to be a beast of efficiency. Located in Abu Dhabi, it will support over 45 hospitals and clinics. The facility handles everything from pharmaceutical medicines to non-pharma supplies.

In our visualization, we showed the complete journey of a product. It starts at the inbound docks where telescopic conveyors unload master cartons. Then, handheld scanners capture data for serialization compliance. This ensures every single medicine pack is tracked. For more context on these tracking standards, you can read about the Tatmeen track and trace system used in the UAE.

The facility features distinct zones for ambient and cold storage. We visualized the 3,000 pallet positions optimized for temperature-sensitive inventory. Furthermore, we showcased the transition of goods through the “Puff Wall” which separates bulk storage from the high-tech automation zones. If you want to see how we visualize specific storage technologies, visit our ASRS automation demo video page.

The Role of Photorealistic 3D Animation in Healthcare Logistics

Visualizing Regional Impact and Operational Scale

We started the video with a view from space, zooming down to the facility. This establishes the strategic location of the distribution center. inside the warehouse, we focused on the sheer volume of operations.

  • Handling Complexity: We showed VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) forklifts operating in 8-meter high aisles. This proves that vertical space is being used efficiently.
  • Cold Chain Integrity: Visual effects were used to highlight the cold storage zones. This reassures stakeholders that sensitive drugs are safe.
  • Zero-Error Tech: We highlighted the “pick-to-light” systems. This visual confirmation is crucial for proving safety to medical boards.

To understand how we showcase the movement of goods in such detail, look at our intralogistics and fulfillment automation demo page.

Mypromovideos' Strategic Approach

Our approach was to keep the visual style clinical and premium. We avoided the gritty, industrial look often found in standard logistics videos. Instead, we used clean lines, bright lighting, and clear text overlays.

We integrated data points directly into the scene. For example, when a robot moves, a floating graphic displays its payload or speed. This helps the viewer digest technical data without pausing the video. For more on how we highlight robotic navigation, check out our SLAM robotics navigation demo video page.

Strategic Utilization of the TechCura Executive Showcase

01

Executive Board & Stakeholder Presentations

The primary use was to align the C-suite. The video provided a clear visual proof of concept that static blueprints could never achieve. It helped secure final approvals for the project.

02

Regional Healthcare Infrastructure Summits

Burjeel participates in major events. This video runs on large screens to showcase their commitment to innovation. It positions them as leaders in the healthcare supply chain.

03

Corporate Strategy & Future-Proofing Documentation

The video serves as a “North Star” for the project. As construction progresses, teams refer back to the animation to ensure the real build matches the vision.

04

Strategic Partnerships & Government Liaison

Healthcare is heavily regulated. This video helps demonstrate compliance with government standards like Tatmeen to officials. You can learn more about Burjeel Holdings and their medical network on their official site.

05

High-Value Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Top logistics talent wants to work with the best tech. By showing a futuristic, automated workplace, Burjeel attracts high-level engineers and operators before the doors even open.

06

Internal Operational Alignment & Standardization

The video is used to train future managers. It shows them exactly how the flow of goods should look. For more on using video for training, see our warehouse automation safety and perception videos page.

07

Premium Brand Positioning in Regional Logistics

Finally, it builds the brand. It tells the market that TechCura is not just a warehouse; it is a smart technology hub.

The Impact and Results

The visualization successfully bridged the gap between concept and reality. The Executive Board gained full clarity on the project scope. Consequently, the confusion regarding the integration of AMRs and ASRS systems was resolved.

The video is now a central part of their pre-launch marketing. It continues to build anticipation for the 2026 opening. It allows Burjeel to demonstrate their operational readiness years in advance.

Conclusion

The TechCura project proves that you don’t need a finished building to prove value. With the right 3D visualization, you can secure buy-in, ensure compliance, and build a brand long before the first box is moved. Burjeel Warehouse Automation is now a tangible reality for stakeholders, thanks to strategic animation.
