What all happened at Mypromovideos in the year 2018?
2018 went faster than ever! A big huge blur. That’s all that I remember of 2018. It went faster than you could say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious(Hat tip to return of Mary Poppins). Did a lot happen? Probably, there is no other way to explain this blurrrrrr. But despite the said state-of-affairs, a few events stand out this year. Shall we check them out

MYPROMOVIDEOS UPGRADES OF YEAR 2018
We shifted gear this year and went through many changes. Some minor, some not-so-minor.
We decided to deck the place with words we lived by, our philosophy, so to speak.

Our dear Bala anna was his prolific self, churning out artwork by the dozens-
Ganesh bought a whole lot of books to help us get more creative, and so did Udhay.
We had the biggest upgrade of it all. Surya joined our team and he specializes in sounds ‘n’ music. If you feel our videos are feeling even more impactful these days, he’s a big reason for it.
Speaking of new faces Pushkar, from MIT interned with us, adding his own dash of creativity. We also had a brief stint with Shirley from KCT who brought her own sunshine.
With all these fresh changes, we decided to bring in one more fresh change. We decide to limit out working hours to 9.30 to 4.30. We hope this change will give us more space for personal stuff. Speaking of which….
PERSONAL UPGRADES OF MYPROMOVIDEOS ‘2018! YIPPEE! 😉
While we were busy playing PUB G , we also took time out to celebrate all that was happening on the personal front.
Mahi got married to Kavya
Dinesh got married to Maheshwari
Anil became dad to an adorable baby boy. We’re all now proud uncles and aunts of the little Mathimaran (We call him MM or M&M or even EMINEM!)
Aravind & Udhay added music to our lives with keyboards and flutes
Aravind bought a bike
Vimida bought a car:)
Even Inba bought us joy with his Dog show performance 🙂
CONNECTING TO THE WORLD – YEAR 2018
Our interaction with the outside world included Kumar Vembu (Co-founder of Zoho and CEO of Go Frugal) stopping over and talking to the startup community at Coimbatore. And, we were happy to host it at our office.
Udhay spoke on “Building for Global Markets”, part of Next BIG Idea. Because there is nothing like the warmth of a community that believes in you!
We also had an immersive session with Vedaputra Saurav, the flutist. The melody’s still fresh in our ears!

And to add icing to the cake, we had a year-end visit from Anand and Stephanie from US-based Matrix Precise.
TOGETHER WE STAND – MYPROMOVIDEOS
So what did we do together, as a team? As usual, it was a smorgasbord of learning, laughter, and love.
Aravind decided to take the initiative and kickstart our Knowledge sharing sessions, which had gone dormant over the years. We had some awesome sessions by our Crew members, in their respective areas of expertise.
So we tried our best to celebrate each special. This often resulted in hilarious moments- like this one on Yoga day:

Of course, we had our share of cuteness overload, with so many kids in our midst, it’s impossible not to. And the most memorable one was Mellina’s birthday when Sara and his lovely wife Manju called us home for a treat!
This year there were celebrations galore. And one celebration stood out because it touched all of us- Mypromovideos’ 9th Anniversary Celebrations. Was their food? Of course, there was food!

We also had our Diwali cook-off! So, No losers here, only satisfied eaters. Yum! Yum!
Finally, we are in December and we are saying goodbye to 2018 in style- with 2 weeks of crazy, and mad celebration. Hoo-boy! We’re all smiles!
Ah! What a year! Here’s to finding love and cherishing it, doing your work and loving it. Here’s wishing you a wonderful 2019. So, I think the best way to end it would be with a holiday video we created around this time last year:
